We are thrilled to announce the appointment of Dan Fata as our newest advisor. With a career spanning 25 years, Dan has held key leadership and advisory positions in both the public and private sectors. He has served as senior staff in both the House of Representatives and the Senate, offering his strategic guidance and expertise in shaping legislative initiatives.
He has also served as Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Europe and NATO and more recently, Dan was appointed by the U.S. Senate leadership to serve as a commissioner on the Afghanistan War Commission. As part of this distinguished panel of 16 commissioners, he was appointed to assess the lessons learned from the U.S.’s 20-year involvement in the War in Afghanistan.
Dan’s areas of specialization encompass a wide range of subjects, including public policy, national security, government relations, strategic risk, and foreign policy. In 2006, Dan was presented with the Secretary of Defense’s Medal for Outstanding Public Service and he has been decorated by the government of the Republic of Lithuania for his outstanding achievements. He has also lectured at institutions such as the Kennedy School of Government at Harvard, the United States Naval Academy, and the State Department Foreign Service Institute.
